DILIA is an international performer whose contagious passion for life and love of people from all walks is expressed through music.  Her lyrics promote the acceptance of that which is different, finding beauty in the unique.  DILIA has performed in venues across the U.S. as well as in over 20 countries and is excited to announce the release of her first album – LOVE SOLDIER.

 

A small town girl turned big city woman, DILIA thrives off the energy of New York City but remains true to her roots.  The daughter of a Mexican mother and an American father, her childhood home played all genres of music from rock to folk, to mariachi and native regional music.  These diverse inspirations have influenced DILIA’S music greatly, allowing her to put an individual stamp on her songs.

 

DILIA believes strongly in the power of hands-on philanthropy.  Each month she travels to the poorest, most dangerous, corners of the world to work with underprivileged and orphaned youth.  Seeing their strife — and the joy on their faces when they sing alongside her — has served as inspiration for LOVE SOLDIER.

 

DILIA’S first album – LOVE SOLDIER – sung in both English and Spanish, is co-written with Jeremy Berman, and produced by the grammy-winning Tony Black (Alicia Keys, Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross).  The album has a rock, blues and gospel vibe, and serves as a bold expression of DILIA’S life.
